The Child Advocacy Center is a non-profit organization providing a safe, child
friendly location for conducting forensic interviews and medical evaluations for
abused children in Southeast Nebraska. The Child Advocacy Center serves child
victims and their non-offending family members when there is a report of sexual
abuse, serious physical abuse, or the child has witnessed a homicide or a violent
crime, been recovered from a kidnapping or found in a drug endangered environ-
ment. Last year, the Center served nearly 1,000 child victims of abuse. 75% of the
victims seen at the Center are under the age of 12. One-third are under the age of 6.
The professionals at the Child Advocacy Center work closely with law enforcement
to reduce the trauma suffered by child victims and increase the successful prose-
cution of their abusers. Every day, the dedicated team at the Center is working
to make certain Small Voices Can Be Heard.
